Chona decided to take the coaches recommendations and do the “revised” version in today’s wod.

It absolutely smashed her !!!

It took her 6 minutes to stand up after she finished well ahead of the cap. The original version would never have produced the same results.

Soooo why is this such a big deal? The workout was 3. Rounds For Time. Who cares if you go Rx and end up with two + rounds in 30 minutes?

Because …. The devil is in the details. Understanding the intention of the workout and make that happen is art, intuition, experience, luck … call it whatever you like.

600 m and 5-5-5 was GOLD for Chona today !

800 m and 7-7-7 would have just been tiresome 30 minutes.

So thanks to Stephanie for for making the suggestion. Thanks to Dush for persuading my members to take that option. And thanks for luck.

Note : The auteur of this piece have coached and witnessed more than 10.000 workouts and programmed for more than 1000 hours. Most of it was fine, but the “Golden WOD’s” are the revised/modified workouts. The original was just okey.
