What is CrossFit ?
It’s constantly varied functional movements performed with high intensity. It’s the 10 points of fitness. It’s Work +Distance divided by time. “Increased work capacity across broad time and modal domains”
All this does not make anybody understand anything about what is going on at a crossfit place.
Crossfit is Olympic Weightlifting with Per for normal people that wants to learn something new and challenge themselves.
CrossFit is doing “Workout of the day” even if it includes running (that you hate) and a dumbbell movement you have no idea how is done.
It’s hanging out with people that live totally different lives than yourself. Talking about whatever without being worried that you don’t fit in.
Kettlebell with a Swedish coach that forces you to walk backwards like a duck 🦆 even if you know there is no way a duck will ever do that 😂
It’s trying to hold on to a bar for 2 minutes even if it makes your hands hurt. Or hanging out with the boys with no shirt 😜
Or just texting your friend 💚 (Cause you are done squatting the 3×5 routine)
Then you write your score up on the board so everybody can see how they did compared to everybody else. And give yourself the chance to improve next time.
